Qualifications: - M.Sc/M.Tech or equivalent degree in the biological sciences. Candidate should have 2 years relevant experience in the field of biological research.

Emoluments: -

SRF:  Rs. 18,000/- per month consolidated + 30% HRA (for NET Qualified depending upon qualifications & Experience) Otherwise Rs. 14,000/- per month consolidated +30% HRA.

Job description & Desired Knowledge: Candidates should have experience in animal cell culture, animal rodents, Flow-Cytometery, RT-PCR, immunocytochemistry. Candidates experience with hematopoietic system and cell signalling and Bioinformatics will be beneficial for this work.

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1     The above post is purely temporary & candidates selected for the above posts will be on contract for one year or duration of the project whichever is shorter, at a time.
2.     No hostel/ housing facility will be provided.
3.     Number of posts may vary and shall be need based. Advertisement is no commitment.
4.     Applicants may clearly mention the category they belong to i.e. SC/ST/OBC/PH and          attach documentary proof of the same.
5.    No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview if called for.

NIPGR, New Delhi: JRF Position in Functional Proteomic

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up the purely temporary positions of two Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the DBT (collaborative North-East scheme) project entitled "Functional Proteomic Studies in North East Rice (Oryza sativa L.) for Dehydration Tolerance" under the supervision of Dr. Niranjan Chakraborty, Scientist, NIPGR.

Eligibility Criteria:

Junior Research Fellow (Two Posts): Emoluments as per project sanction & DBT norms.

Candidates having M.Sc. degree in Biochemistry/Life Sciences/Biotechnology with at least 60% marks and research experience in Molecular Biology.

The positions are purely temporary and is co-terminus with the project. The initial appointment will be for one year, which can be extended/curtailed on the basis of assessment of the candidate's performance and discretion of the Competent Authority. NIPGR reserves the right to select the candidate against the above post depending upon the qualifications and experience of the candidate. Reservation of post shall be as per Govt. of India norms.

NIPGR, New Delhi: SRF/TA Position in Chickpea Genomics

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up the purely temporary positions of Senior Research Fellow (SRF) and Technical Assistant (TA) in the DBT sub-project entitled "Functional genomics of water-deficit stress in chickpea" of "Next Generation Challenge programme on Chickpea Genomics" under the supervision of Dr. Niranjan Chakraborty, Scientist, NIPGR.

Eligibility Criteria:

(A) Senior Research Fellow (One Post): Emoluments as per project sanction & DBT norms.

Candidates having M.Sc. degree in Biochemistry/Life Sciences/Biotechnology/Bio-Informatics with at least 60% marks and a minimum of two years of Post M. Sc. research experience.

(B) Technical Assistant (One Post): Emoluments as per project sanction & DBT norms.

Candidates having M.Sc. degree in Biochemistry/Life Sciences or B.Sc. with minimum of two years research experience.
