Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine a constituent establishment of the of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, wishes to recruit Research Associate, SRF, Project Assistants at Level I, II & III and Field Assistant on temporary basis to work in various sponsored/networked/contract projects in this Institute and to make a panel of the selected candidates for future project positions.

1.    RESEARCH ASSOCIATE:

Essential Qualification : Ph.D or equivalent in the area of Biological Sciences. (Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/Life Sciences/Molecular Biology/Microbiology) OR Chemical Sciences (Natural Product Chemistry/Medicinal Chemistry/Synthetic Chemistry/Organic Chemistry).

Desirable : Research experience in the area of drug discovery or exploration of medicinal plants and micro flora for value added products.

2.  SENIOR RESEARCH FELLOW (NAIP- a value chain on Saffron).

Essential Qualification: Ist Class M.Sc. Chemistry (Analytical/Organic) with at least 2 years experience.

Desirable: Research experience in handing of HPLC, LC-MS/MS GC-MS/MS; ICP MS etc.

3.    PROJECT ASSISTANT LEVEL-III

Essential Qualification: Ist Class M.Sc./BE or equivalent in the area of (Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/Life Sciences/Molecular Biology/Microbiology) OR Chemical Sciences (Natural Product Chemistry/Medicinal Chemistry/Synthetic Chemistry/Organic Chemistry/analytical chemistry), with at least 2 years experience after M.Sc./BE/etc.

Desirable: Practical Experience in relevant areas using modern techniques with proven record and should have knowledge of subject.

4.    PROJECT ASSISTANT LEVEL-II

Essential Qualification :

(i) Ist Class M.Sc./BE or equivalent in Biological/Chemical Sciences/Agricultural Sciences/(Agronomy/Soil Sciences and Horticulture) and IT with sound knowledge of the subject.

Desirable: Practical research experience in the areas mentioned above.

(ii) Ist Class M.Sc. in Bioinformatics

Desirable: Knowledge of molecular modeling software.

Preferable:Working knowledge of software Schrodinger, Accelrys, Tripos or any other software used for in silico modeling.

5.    PROJECT ASSISTANT LEVEL-I

Essential Qualification : Ist Class B.Sc. or equivalent and B.Sc. with Diploma in Computer.

6.    FIELD ASSISTANT

Essential Qualification : 10+2 preferably with one year diploma in computer.

Age and stipend for the above positions is as under :-

Age will be determined as on date of Interview. Relaxation of age is admissible for the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/Women/Physically Handicapped categories as per rules. Age-relaxation in case of women will be applicable for widows, divorced women and women judicially separated from their husbands. Relaxation in the upper age limit of 5 years is also applicable for persons who had ordinarily been domiciled in the state of J&K during the period of 01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989 subject to production of certificate from the concerned District Magistrate in the J&K within whose jurisdiction he/she had ordinarily been resided or from any other authority designated in this behalf by the Govt. of J&K to the effect that he/she had ordinarily being domiciled in the J&K during the period of 01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989.

One position SRF / RA in CSIR project*# 

Project Title: “Studies to decipher the functional implications of nuclear receptors docking onto the mitotic chromatin”.

Qualifications:

• For SRF: M.Sc. or equivalent degree in Life Sciences or related fields. At least two years of research experience is essential. MBBS with at least one year research experience or M.V.Sc. or equivalent are also eligible.

• For RA: A doctorate degree or equivalent with relevant publications.

Desirable: Candidates (SRF/RA) who have published original research articles or have suitable work experience in the areas of Molecular & Cellular Endocrinology and/or bioinformatics will be preferred.

*Only one position is available that will be offered either at SRF or RA level. The position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. The initial appointment will be for one year which can be curtailed or extended on the basis of the performance of the researcher.
