Institute of Genomics & Integrative Biology (IGIB), desires to engage qualified incumbents on purely temporary basis as detailed below :

Project tile 1 : " Etiology of rheumatoid arthritis-An exploratory study of the diagnostic potial of phosphoproteomics" (Project Code: GAP0078)

Designation : Project Assistant

Essential Qualification : First class M.Sc. in Biotechnology

Desirable : Research experience in proteomics and Molecular Biology

Age : 30 years

Stipend : Rs. 19,481/- per month

Project tile 2 : "Screening for antimicrobial peptides & bioactive molecules from microbial diversity of forest ecosystem of NE India: A novel approach for development of antibiotics against multi-drug resistance pathogens (DBT Twinning Programme for NER)" (Project Code: GAP0085)

Designation : JRF

Essential Qualification : First class M.Sc. in Microbiology/Life Sciences /Biotechnology /Biochemistry/Genomics

Desirable : Two years of Research experience in Microbiological/ Molecular Biology techniques

Age : 28 years

Stipend : Rs. 16,000/- + 30% HRA per month

Tenure : One year

Designation : Research Associate

Essential Qualification : Ph.D in Microbiology/Biotechnology/Genomics/ Molecular Biology

Desirable : Experience in Molecular Microbiology/ Next generation sequencing/ Microbial Ecology/Metagenomics

Age : 35 years

Stipend : Rs. 22,000/- + 30% HRA per month

Project tile 3 : "Molecular mechanisms by which metastasis suppressor, Non Metastatic 2 (NME2) interacts with telomeres: potential connection between metastatic progression and telomerase activity" (Project Code: GAP0077)

Designation : Post Doctoral Fellow

Essential Qualification : Ph.D. in Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/Biomed Sciences/Life sciences (Ph.D. thesis submitted may also apply)

Desirable : Relevant experience in analysis of high-throughput next generation sequencing
data , working knowledge of molecular and cellular biology techniques

Age : 38 years

Stipend : Rs. 40,000/- per month

Tenure : One year

Age relaxation for SC/ST/ OBC candidate as per Govt. of India instruction. Engagement is for the project and on behalf of the funding agency and the tenure shall be as mentioned above. The duration of the post is initially for one Year or till the closing date of the project, which ever is earlier. Tenure may be extendable up to project duration. Contract may be terminated any time by giving one-month notice by either side. The applicants will have no claim implicit or explicit for consideration against any CSIR/IGIB post.

• The email will be sent to the short listed candidates.
• No TA/DA will be paid to the candidates to attend the interview. The engagement shall be as per guidelines of CSIR/Funding agency. Candidates will have option to give reply in Hindi.
