The newly founded Institute of molecular biology (IMB) is an Excellence Centre for Life Science, funded by the Boehringer Ingelheim Foundation, and located in Mainz, Germany.
Applications are invited for PhD positions in the research group “Modelling of Biological Networks”. Our group applies mathematical modelling to understand cell-to-cell variability and the dynamics of gene regulatory networks. Two positions are available: One purely computational position and one combining experimental work with theoretical modelling (see PhD Programme Participating Groups).
You will :

1. Have a diploma/master in biology, physics, mathematics or a related discipline
2. Have a background in biology and mathematics
3. Have good written and spoken English
4. Work in close collaboration with Dr Legewie and other group members
