NIPGR New Delhi, Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Senior Research Fellow (SRF) in Biochemistry/Botany/Biotechnology

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up the purely temporary positions of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Senior Research Fellow (SRF) under the supervision of Dr. Niranjan Chakaraborty, Scientist, NIPGR in CSIR and DBT research projects, detailed as under:

(1) CSIR project entitled "Proteomic Analysis of dehydration-responsive endomembrane fraction of rice (Oryza sativa L.)" (one post of SRF / JRF).

(2) DBT project entitled "Molecular cloning & characterization of CaTLP1, a dehydration-responsive tubby-like protein from chickpea" (one post of SRF).

(3) DBT project entitled "Analysis of dehydration- responsive subcellular phophoproteome in crop plants" (two post of SRF).

Eligibility Criteria:

(A) Junior Research Fellow: Emoluments as per project sanction & CSIR/DST/DBT norms.

Candidate having M. Sc. degree in Biochemistry/Botany/Biotechnology. The candidate should have First division/class throughout academic career.

(B) Senior Research Fellow: Emoluments as per project sanction & CSIR/DST/DBT norms.

Candidates having M. Sc. degree in Biochemistry/Botany/Biotechnology with two years of Post M. Sc. Research experience. The candidate should have First division/class throughout academic career.

The above positions are purely temporary and are co-terminus with the project. The initial appointment will be for one year, which can be curtailed/extended on the basis of assessment of the candidate's performance and discretion of the Competent Authority. NIPGR may select candidate against the above posts depending upon the qualifications and experience of the candidate and reserves the right to relax any of the qualification(s) in case the candidate is found otherwise well qualified by the Selection Committee. Reservation of post shall be as per Govt. of India norms.

Note: Candidate applying for CSIR Project position should have qualified CSIR- NET (Lectureship).
