Walk-in-Interview for the three posts of Senior Research Fellow will be held on August 10, 2010 at 10.00 A.M. at the Division of Vegetable Science, Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi-110012. The essential qualification for the posts is given below:
Name of the project: Validating crop specific DUS Testing guidelines for Cucumber, Bottle gourd, Bitter gourd, Pumpkin and Pointed gourd
- Principal Investigator: Dr. Tusar Kanti Behera
- Emoluments: Rs.12,000/ plus HRA for 1st and 2nd year and Rs.14,000/ plus HRA for 3rd year
- Funded by: PPV & FR, Govt. of India
- Post: Senior Research Fellow (one)
- Essential: M. Sc. degree in Vegetable Science/ Olericulture/ Horticulture/ Plant Genetic Resources/ Botany/ Plant Breeding with research work related to breeding and taxonomy in vegetable crops.
- Desirable: Working experience in characterization, description and documentation of vegetable crops and Computer Applications.
Name of the Project : ‘Or’ Gene introgression for enhancing beta carotene in Indian cauliflower using marker assisted backcross breeding.
- PI: Dr Pritam Kalia
- Emoluments: Rs.18,000/ plus HRA for 1st and 2nd year and Rs.20,000/ plus HRA for 3rd year
- Funded by: DBT, Govt. of India
- Post: Senior Research Fellow (two)
- Essential: M. Sc. degree in Plant Biotechnology/ Molecular Biology and Biotechnology/ Plant Breeding/ Vegetable Science/ Olericulture/ Horticulture/ Plant Genetic Resources/ Botany with research work related to the use of molecular makers in vegetable crops.
- Desirable: Working experience in marker assisted breeding
- The engagement is purely time bound, non-regular and on co-terminus with the sanction of the project. There is no provision of re-engagement. The selected candidates shall have no legal right to claim regularization by absorption or otherwise against any regular posts or any further contractual engagement on termination of the project.
- The eligible candidate should bring an application addressed to the respective Principal Investigator along with complete bio-data giving full particulars, i.e. proof of age, proof of reservation, qualifications, examinations passed, marks obtained in each examination, research experience in project/scheme, publications (only published with a set of Photostat copy), NOC from present employer etc.
- The candidate should submit one set of attested copies of mark sheets/transcripts.
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
- Maximum age limit is 35 years with relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and women candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates.
