Applications are invited for the post of SRF @ Panjab University

Applications with detailed bio-data alongwith attested copies of certificates are invited from the eligible candidates for the appointment of Senior Research Fellow (SRF) in a DBT sponsored research project entitled “Biotransformation of epoxides by recombinant epoxide hydrolases”. The duration of the research project is 3 years. 

• Post : SRF
• Qualifications : Should have qualified M.Sc. with a minimum of 55% marks in Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Life Sciences/ Biosciences subjects.
• Desirable : Candidate with a minimum of two years practical research experience in the area of enzymology / Protein purification, microbiology, molecular biology, will be preferred.
• Remuneration: M.Sc. + minimum two years research experience + NET–JRF qualified  : Rs.18,000/- + 20% HRA , M.Sc. + minimum two years research experience but not NET–JRF qualified : Rs. 14,000/- + 20% HRA , M.Sc. without any research experience and not NET–JRF qualified   : Rs. 12,000/- + 20% HRA 

The above post is purely temporary and will be filled on contractual basis initially for a period of one year, but may be extended on year-to-year basis, based on performance of the candidate. 

The candidate shall not claim for regular appointment in the university, as the post is co-terminus with the project. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. Only the candidates having essential qualification would be called for the interview.
