Position: Research Scientist/Senior Research Scientist

• Department: Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics (DMPK)

• Education: M.Pharm. with 8-10 years experience or Ph.D. with 2-3 years experience Educational background in biopharmaceutics, pharmaceutical sciences, chemistry, biochemistry or a related field.

Experience: 3-8years

Job Responsibilities:

• The incumbent will be responsible for design and conduct of in vitro studies such as permeability assays (Caco-2 and PAMPA), microsomal and hepatocytes incubations.
• The candidate should be skilled in preparation of microsomes and hepatocytes. Should possess extensive experience and knowledge in maintenance of Caco-2 cell lines and hepatocytes.
• Should have experience in physiochemical characterization (solubility, pKa and lipophilicity estimation) for new chemical entities.
• The candidate should have experience in handling LC-MS/MS for quantification as well metabolite identification.
• Accept leadership role in troubleshooting and solving challenging bioanalytical and biotransformation problems.
• Prepares scientific reports that document the assay results and trouble shoot the cell culture and LC-MS issues. 
• Skills:
  
• The candidate will be responsible for designing, planning and conduct of pharmacokinetic and in vitro drug metabolism/transport studies to support drug discovery projects.
• Should have cross-functional knowledge of analytical, metabolism, in vitro and in vivo methodologies for DMPK. Skills in experimental design, mathematical problem solving for biological systems, critical data analysis/interpretation and biostatistics are required.
• Should be able to review, analyze and interpret bioanalytical data. Basic computer skills, including word-processing, graphics and spreadsheet programs are required.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, and interpersonal skills are a must.
• Should have ability to perform as an effective, flexible and self-assured team player.
• Have worked in DMPK lab with renowned Pharma and/or CRO
