Scientist
- An ideal candidate should be able to troubleshoot, develop and carry out enzyme assays and enzyme kinetics. Prior experience in HTS (High throughput screening) would be an added advantage
- Prepares for and carries out experimental work according to experimental plans in order to meet specific team/project goals.
- Maintains required inventory of samples, chemicals, and other supplies and tracks inventory in company database where required.
- Properly prepares labels and registers chemicals, reagents, enzymes, and test materials for experimental use.
- Reviews experimental data to ensure accuracy. Interprets and summarizes results within the context of the specific experiment, and in the form of organized data and information reported to scientist staff.
- Understands and properly uses all basic laboratory equipment and methods relevant to the work area.
- Understands and properly uses selected project-specific equipment (e.g. application equipment) and special test methods.
- Maintains laboratory equipment in good working order through calibration, preventative maintenance, upgrades, safety related and necessary repairs.
Qualifications:
- The candidate should hold a PhD in relevant field.
- 2- 3 years of relevant work experience in protein Biochemistry, Enzyme Assays.
- Strong English communication skills
- Very good Team Player
- Knowledge of high throughput screening would be an added advantage
