Applications are invited for a temporary position of Junior Research Fellow (one) under the DBT Project `Development of blends and composites based on biodegradable polymer of microbial origin’ (SP/169, period up to 22.03.2012), being filled in through Walk-in-interview to be held on Friday the 15^th July 2011 at 10.00 a.m..

Qualifications: Essential : (i) B.Sc. with Microbiology/ Biotechnology and 1^st class M.Sc. in Microbiology/ Biotechnology/ Biochemistry and (ii) clearance of CSIR-UGC/NET/SET test of JRF.  Desirable:Knowledge in fermentation technology and biodegradable plastic.

Monthly Stipend : Rs.12,000/- + HRA (fixed). 

Age Limit : 28 years relaxable by 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST and Female candidates.  

In case of non-availability of qualified JRF, candidates having B.Sc. & M.Sc. (subject as above) with at least 55% marks may be considered for Research Studentship with monthly stipend Rs.11000/- (fixed).                                                [Code: RS/SP/169]

Last Date of submission of application in prescribed format along with necessary documents is 11.07.2011 up to 5.00 p.m.

A list of short listed candidates will be placed on the Institute website on 13.07.2011 by 2.00 p.m.

The prescribed essential qualifications are bare minimum and mere possession of the same will not entitle the candidate to be called for walk-in-interview.  In case number of applications received in response to this advertisement is large, it may not be convenient or possible for the Institute to interview all the candidates.  The Institute may restrict the number of candidates to be called for walk-in-interview to a reasonable limit, on the basis of qualifications and experience higher than the minimum prescribed in the advertisement.
