An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Research Associate within the Multiple Sclerosis and Gene Therapy research groups in the Centre for Neuroinflammation and Neurodegeneration, Division of Brain Sciences, Department of Medicine at Imperial College London.
You will work on a Multiple Sclerosis Society funded project investigating the role of meningeal inflammation in the pathogenesis of multiple sclerosis, using novel lentiviral vectors to chronically deliver cytokines to the brain in an experimental model of MS pathology. You will work in the Wolfson Neuroscience Laboratories under the supervision of Professors Richard Reynolds and Nicholas D Mazarakis to generate and characterise novel lentiviral vectors and to study their effects in a model of MS.
You will have a PhD or equivalent in the neurosciences or immunology, and proven skills in molecular biology, immunohistochemistry and protein analysis. Previous experience with experimental models of neurological disease or lentiviral vector work will be an advantage but not essential.
This is a full-time, fixed-term post for 3 years based at the Hammersmith Hospital Campus.
