Walk-In- Interview
The Head, Division of Genetics, IARI, New Delhi intends to recruit the outstanding personnel for post of Research Fellow in the following project purely on contractual basis. A detail of the position is given below:
Name of the Project & Principal Investigator (PI): DBT funded project on “Generation of mapping populations and identification of QTL(s) for Downy Mildew Resistance) in Pearl Millet (Pennisetum glaucum (L.) R. Br.)” – PI: Dr. C. Tara Satyavathi, Principal Scientist
Name of Post: Senior Research Fellow
No. of Post: One
Emoluments (Fixed) PM: Rs. 14000/- plus HRA
Qualification:
- Essential: M.Sc. in Genetics and/ or Plant Breeding/ Plant Molecular Biology and/ or Plant Biotechnology and NET/ equivalent qualified.
- Desirable: Research experience in crops and molecular marker analysis.
Date, time and venue: 23rd December, 2010 at 10.00 A.M. in Heads Chamber, Genetics Division, IARI, New Delhi
Age limit: Maximum age 35 years for SRF (age relaxation of five years for SC/ST & women and three years for OBC).
The posts are purely temporary and will be filled on contractual basis initially up to March 2011, but may be extended further based on the performance of the candidate or till the termination of the project. The candidate shall not claim regular appointment at this Institute, as the post is co-terminus with the project. The interview of eligible candidates will be held on 23rd December, 2010 at 10.00 A.M. in the chamber of Head, Division of Genetics, IARI, New Delhi 110012.
The candidates will have to bring a copy of bio-data, original certificates, attested photocopies of all the required certificates from matriculation onwards (for skilled workers pass certificate as required is essentially to be produced for verification) and an attested copy of recent passport size photograph. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. Only the candidates having essential qualifications would be entertained for the interview.
