A PhD student position is immediately available at the Lung Biology Laboratory (http://www.vetmed.lsu.edu/pbs/jeyaseelan.htm) in the Department of Pathobiological Sciences (PBS) and the Center for Experimental Infectious Disease Research, Louisiana State University (LSU), to study the host responses in the lung against bacterial pathogens using murine models and human/murine cells. 

Our lab has strong ties with the LSU Medical Center in New Orleans, and the Tulane National Primate Research Center. Candidates must hold a MS degree in Pulmonary Immunology or host pathogen interaction and relevant publications. Experience in murine models and isolation and culture of lung cells from mice is required.
