A walk in interview, will be held on 18.01.2011 at 10.00 AM in Room No. 1, Division of Microbiology, Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi-110012 (Tel No. 011-25847649) for filling up the following temporary position
Junior Research Fellow (1 post) in DBT funded project entitled ‘Prospecting natural cyanobacterial biofilms and associated bacterial diversity for their potential as inoculants in the rice –wheat cropping system’
Essential Qualifications: M.Sc. in Microbiology / Biotechnology/ Botany, with specialization in algae/cyanobacteria
Desirable Qualifications: Research experience in biochemical and molecular characterization of bacteria and cyanobacteria, knowledge of microscopic and analytical techniques, including GC, knowledge of computer and bioinformatics tools.
Remuneration: Rs. 12000/- per month +HRA as applicable

Reporting Time: Between 10.00 A.M and 11.00 A.M. Candidates reporting after 11.00 A.M will not be allowed to appear for the interview.
Terms and Conditions:
1. AGE: The upper age limit is 35 years; relaxable to SC/ST/OBC/PH/Ex.-Serviceman as per the Govt. of India instructions.
2. No objection and experience certificate from the employer in case he/she is in employment.
3. Positions are purely time bound, non-regular and on co-terminus basis with the project, initially for a period of one year. The selected candidate shall have no legal right to claim regularization by absorption or otherwise against any regular posts or any further contractual engagement on termination of the project in the Institute.
4. Candidates may appear for interview with bio-data, photographs and original testimonials.
5. Candidates reaching after the specified timing will not be entertained.
6. Canvassing in any form will disqualify the candidature. The Director’s decision will be final and binding in all respects.
7. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
