Delhi University JRF Position (May Lead to PhD Registration) Work on DNA Topoisomerase

operation of project, under CSIR sponsored project of Dr. Vibha Tandon (PI) entitled

"DNA Topoisomerase Design, synthesis and characterization of novel benzimidazole 

and an insight into the mechanism of selective inhibition of bacterial Topoisomerase I by 

these molecules" sponsored by (CSIR no. : 37(1342)/08/EMR-II,18/12/2008)”

This Project involves the cloning, mutation studies, protein purification studies, 

biophysical and biochemical interaction with Topo inhibitors.

Eligibility: M. Sc. in Life sciences /M.Pharm/B.Tech/M.Tech with NET-LS or JRF 

qualification. Candidate with research experience and knowledge on molecular biology 

techniques will be preferred. The candidate may be considered for Ph.D position if they 

fulfill the minimum qualification for PH.D. registration.

Salary: Rs.12,000/- for JRF and 14,000/- for SRF per month plus HRA will be given if 

applicable to LS candidates. Non net qualified candidates will be considered for Project 

assistant @Rs.8000/- per month plus HRA will be given if applicable.
