WALK-IN INTERVIEW

The Principal Scientist & Head intends to recruit three Senior Research Fellows in two Projects purely on contractual basis. Details of the positions are given below:

Name of the Project:

1. ICAR-funded Outreach programme: “Strengthening of Wheat Programme in Central India (IARI-Regional Station, Indore)” (No. of Posts- 02)

1. DBT-funded Project titled, “Molecular marker assisted development of biotic stress resistant wheat varieties” (No. of Posts- 01)

Age limit: Maximum age 35 years (age relaxation of five years for SC/ST and women, and three years for OBC candidates).

Essential qualification for Project at Sl.No. 1 – Post 1 : M.Sc. Agric. in Genetics/Plant Breeding/Agricultural Botany.

Essential qualification for Project at Sl.No. 1 – Post 2 : M.Sc. Agric in Agronomy.

Essential qualification for Project at Sl.No. 2: M.Sc. Agric. or M.Sc. in Plant Biotechnology or M.Sc. Agric. in Genetics / Plant Breeding.

Desirable for Project at Sl.No.2: Research experience in the field of molecular markers, and working knowledge of computer.

Emoluments: Rs. 12,000/- + 20% HRA shall be awarded per month under Project at Sl.No.1, and Rs. 14,000/- + 20% HRA per month for Project at Sl.No.2.

The interview of eligible candidates for the above posts will be held on 27 October, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at IARI-Regional Station, Residency Area, (Near College of Agriculture), INDORE–452 001 (M.P.). Interested candidates satisfying the essential qualifications may come for the interview with a copy of the bio-data, original and attested copies of all certificates, recent copy of passport size photograph, etc. for each post. The above posts are purely temporary and will be filled on contractual basis initially for a period of one year but may be extended on year-to-year basis, based on performance of the candidates. The candidates shall not claim for regular appointment at this Institute, as the posts are co-terminus with the respective projects. No TA/ DA will be paid for attending the interview. Only the candidates having essential qualification would be entertained for the interview.
