Principal investigator, of the concerned project at Division of Genetics, IARI, New Delhi-110012, wishes to recruit outstanding experienced personnel for the post of SRF and RA in the following projects : 

1. Name of PI and the projects: “Development of biotic stress resistance rice through marker assisted breeding” (DBT funded: PI – Dr. A. K Singh, Senior Scientist) 

Name and no. of posts: SRF: One

Max. Age Limit: 35yrs 

Emoluments (fixed) P.M.: 12000 +HRA

Qualification: M.Sc. in Genetics/Plant Breeding/Life Sciences 

Desirable: Experience in handling molecular markers

2. Name of PI and the projects: “Development of salinity stress resistance in rice varieties” (DBT funded: PI – Dr. A. K Singh, Senior Scientist)

Name and no. of posts: SRF: One

Max. Age Limit: 35yrs 

Emoluments (fixed) P.M.: 12000+HRA

Qualification: M.Sc. in Genetics/Plant Breeding/Life Sciences 

Desirable: Experience in handling molecular markers

3. Name of PI and the projects:  “Development of Provitamin A rich indica rice varieties through marker assisted backcross breeding using high carotenoid golden rice as donor lines” (DBT funded: PI – Dr. A. K Singh, Senior Scientist) 

Name and no. of posts: RA: One

Max. Age Limit: 40yrs 

Emoluments (fixed) P.M.: 16000+HRA 

Qualification: Ph.D. in Chemistry/ Organic chemistry/ Biochemistry/ Life Sciences with experience in handling HPLC.

1. The posts are temporary & renewable on yearly basis based on performance till termination of the project. Relaxation of 5 years for SC/ ST/women and 3 years for OBC candidates as per ICAR Rules. 

2. The above posts are purely temporary and contractual basis. The selected candidates shall not claim for regular appointment(s) at this institute as the posts are co-terminus with respective project/scheme. 

3. Date of Interview: 24.09.2010 at 10.00 AM in the office of the Head, Division of Genetics, IARI, New Delhi 

4. Bring bio-data, original certificates (and copy) and other relevant documents, attested recent passport photograph. 

5. No TA/DA will be paid. Only those meeting the qualifications will be interviewed.
