Applications are invited from Indian citizens for the following temporary positions. (Walk-in-Interview for Serial No.1 Only)
(1)Walk-in-Interview on 05.10.2010 at 10.00 a.m., for Project Co-ordinator (1 post) [Code: PC/SP/184] under DST Project ‘Developing Community based approach for prevention and management of Anemia through nutritional inputs and awareness among young rural women in India’ (SP-184), Period up to Dec. 2011.
Qualifications Essential: (i) 1st class M.Sc. in specialization of Food science & Nutrition / Biochemistry. (ii) Experience in community nutrition studies and in laboratory studies.
Qualifications Desirable: 2 yrs experience in community nutrition studies.
Age Limit – 32 years
Monthly Stipend – Rs.14,000 /- (Fixed)

(2) Research Associate [Post Code- RA/SP-193] under HTBIL Sponsored Project on Probiotics “ Assessment of health promoting and dieses preventing properties of lactobacilli and their micoencapsulation”, being operated in the Microbial Sciences Division (Period up to 10.08.2011)
Qualifications Essential: B.Sc – 1st Class in Microbiology, M.Sc- 1st Class in Microbiology & Ph.D. in Microbiology.
Qualifications Desirable: Bacterial taxonomy (Molecular Techniques) DNA sequencing, Real Time PCR, ELISA
Monthly Stipend – Rs.16,000/-+HRA.(likely to be revised)
Age Limit – 35 Year
(3) Research Associate [Post Code- RA/MIC-10] under ARI Research Project “MACS culture collection activity” (MIC-10), being operated in the Microbial Sciences Division, (Period initially for 2 years).
Qualifications Essential: : B.Sc. 1st class in Microbiology, M.Sc. 1st Class in Microbiology, Ph.D in Microbiology / Biotechnology..
Qualifications Desirable: Exp. In Microbial diversity using molecular techniques
Monthly Stipend – Rs.16,000/- +HRA.(likely to be revised),
Age Limit – 35 Year
(4) Research Associate [Post Code- RA/SP-183] under ICAR Karnal Project “Indo- Australian Project for root and establishment traits efficiency for greater water use efficiency in wheat” (SP-183), being operated in the Genetics Group of Plant Sciences Division, (Period up to 31.03.2012).
Qualifications Essential: : M.Sc. (Agri) / M.Sc. (Botany) with specialization in Genetics and Plant Breeding / Physiology, Ph.D in Agriculture / Botany with specialization in Genetics & Plant Breeding / Crop Physiology
Qualifications Desirable1-2 year exp. in the field.
Monthly Stipend – Rs.16,000/- + HRA.(likely to be revised),
Age Limit – 35 Year
In case of non availability of qualified Research Associate, position/s may be filled at the lower level of SRF / JRF / Research Student with qualifications, Age Limit, Emoluments as per Institute Rules.
(5)Project Scientist [Post Code- PS/SP-166] under World Bank Sponsored Project “Generating new wheat germplasm with enhanced draught/heat tolerance using AB genomes genetic diversity” (SP-166), being operated in the Genetics Group of Plant Sciences Division, (Period up to 15.10.2011).
Qualifications Essential: : M.Sc. & Ph.D in Agriculture / Botany with specialization in Genetics & Plant Breeding
Qualifications Desirable: 2 year exp. in the field crops.
Monthly Stipend – Rs.30,000/- (fixed),
Age Limit – 32 Year
NOTE :- Age Limit is relaxable for JRF, SRF, RA by 5 years in the case of candidates belonging to the Schedule Caste/Schedule Tribes, Women, Physically Handicapped & OBC applicants Candidates fulfilling above conditions may apply in the prescribed format available on the Institute’s website http://www.aripune.org., along with attested copies of qualifications, certificates, Passport size photograph, and application fees of Rs.100/-, payable only by Demand Draft in favor of Agharkar Research Institute, Pune, up to 29.09.2010 (for serial No. 2 to5).
